Michael Behun MD
Michael Behun, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee replacement at Orthopedic Specialists of Oakland County, which has two convenient locations in Bloomfield Hills and Clarkston, Michigan. Dr. Behun completed his undergraduate degree in kinesiology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his medical degree at Western Michigan University School of Medicine. He then completed orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison followed by a one-year fellowship in adult hip and knee reconstruction at Colorado Joint Replacement in Denver, Colorado. This provided specialized training in hip and knee replacements using manual, computer navigation, and robotic surgical techniques, as well as hip replacements utilizing anterior, lateral, and posterior approaches. Dr. Behun holds professional memberships with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons as well as the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. He and his wife Megan, a nurse and native of Macomb, Michigan, have two children and enjoy outdoor activities including hiking, camping, hunting, and fishing.
